Thank You....
21/10/09 13:05

I want to say a massive thank you to all the people that made donations to our Troops Appeal.
We are very pleased with the great response from you all, it warms my heart to think come Christmas, the little bit we have done will go some way to bring a little cheer to those troops.
The photo is of Adam Lee Wright, one of the many troops out there who we hope will be receiving a gift this Christmas.
All the best boys and girls, our thoughts are with you.

Supporting The Troops In Afghanistan
09/10/09 12:58

We have been in the restaurant at Nottingham a few times and always have a chat with Maureen the Restaurant Manageress.
She is a lovely lady, an absolute diamond and was telling us about her family and mentioned her grandson is in The Grenadier Guards and is on a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
She said she had been collecting a few bits to post in a shoe box to send over to him for Christmas.
We asked her what kind of things you are allowed to send and Maureen give us a list. I think it is a lovely gesture and a way of showing support for our troops fighting in Afghanistan. By sending a few of life’s little luxuries I am assured by Maureen that the boys and girls out therer really appreciate it and it does wonders for their morale.
I am asking everyone I see and who views this website to consider making a donation to The Grenadier Guards Troops, whether one item or a full shoe box, it will be greatly appreciated. Please click on the new page to view a full list of what can be donated.
If you have any questions at all, please give Dawn Mullins a ring on 07920 063783
Anyone can drop their donations off here at the kennels at Dunham or at Nottingham Greyhound Track.
Please note: It is very important that the items are to be sealed and they need to have a list of what is in the boxes attached, as when the post office collect them we have to fill in an itinerary label for every box..
Also the boxes must not exceed 2.1kg.
All items are going to be posted on the 25th October to get there before Christmas (depending on strikes)
Thank you all for showing your support.
